As a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice, I provide preventive dental hygiene wherever a patient can't reasonably get to a traditional dental office — whether that's due to homebound status, disability, dental anxiety, transportation limitations, or another documented barrier to care.

Setting 01

Homebound & Barrier-to-Care Visits

For patients who are medically frail, disabled, dealing with dental anxiety, or facing another documented barrier that keeps them from a dental office. Care happens wherever the patient is most comfortable.

Setting 02

Periodontal Deep Cleaning (SRP)

Scaling and root planing for patients with periodontal disease — deeper cleaning below the gumline, done in the same in-home setting.

Schools

On-site preventive care and screenings for students, closing the gap for families without easy access to a dental office during school hours.

Setting 04

Residential & Care Facilities

Ongoing preventive hygiene for residents of skilled nursing, assisted living, and residential care facilities, coordinated with facility staff and families.

Payment is due at time of visit. Elevate Dental Hygiene does not bill insurance directly — a receipt is provided on request if you'd like to seek reimbursement from your own insurer.

Cleaning

Prophylaxis & periodontal maintenance

Removal of plaque and calculus, tailored to patients with limited mobility or complex medical histories.

Prevention

Fluoride treatment & sealants

Protective treatments that reduce decay risk, especially valuable where follow-up care is infrequent.

Education

Caregiver & patient education

Practical daily care guidance for patients, family caregivers, and facility staff.

Coordination

Referral to dental treatment

Coordination with a collaborating dentist or the patient's own dentist when treatment beyond hygiene is needed.

Documentation

Records for facilities & physicians

Clear visit documentation to keep facility staff, physicians, and families informed.

Not everyone can get to a dental office — whether that's because of a mobility issue, a disability, dental anxiety, lack of transportation, or another real barrier. As an RDHAP, I bring preventive dental hygiene directly to patients wherever they are, across Rancho Bernardo and North San Diego County.

My goal is simple: consistent, high-quality preventive care for people who are too often left out of the routine dental system — delivered with the same standard of care you'd expect in any dental office.
